Welcome Laura Bretheim, CUB’s new outreach intern

Laura joined the Citizens Utility Board in March 2022 as an Outreach Intern. She will be supporting outreach activities throughout the spring and summer and looks forward to connecting customers with energy resources.

Laura is a first-year student in the University of Minnesota's Master of Urban and Regional Planning program. Prior to returning to school, Laura spent over five years as an environmental educator in Twin Cities-area park districts and as a communications staff person for several environmental nonprofits in Chicago and Washington state. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from St. Olaf College, and she enjoys working alongside community members to learn about and respond to their needs. She looks forward to working at the intersections of energy, equity, and community with CUB.
