Xcel Energy Flex Pricing Pilot Postponed

Published March 30, 2020

Xcel Energy had planned to start a pilot program testing time-of-use rates for certain customers in Minneapolis and Eden Prairie on April 1. However, given the current situation, Xcel is postponing the pilot. The postponement means that all pilot participants will remain on their current electric pricing plan until further notice.

Participants can expect to hear from Xcel Energy when a new date is set, and CUB will provide an update, as well.

In addition, Xcel Energy will not disconnect service to any residential customers until further notice. If you are having difficulty paying your bills, contact them to arrange a payment plan that works for you.

Customers can visit Xcel Energy Flex Pricing updates for the most up-to-date information about the Flex Pricing Pilot. If you have questions about the pilot program, contact Xcel Energy at inquire@xcelenergy.com or call 800-895-4999.
