What is it? For heating, furnaces, boilers, electric resistance baseboards, heat pumps. For cooling, window and central AC, fans, heat pumps.

What’s available? Utilities provide rebates for energy efficient heating and cooling equipment, dependent on the equipment's efficiency rating. Some local governments offer additional rebates. The State of Minnesota is planning home energy rebates alongside an additional state-funded program for heat pumps.

What’s going away? The Federal Tax Credit for energy efficient heating and cooling equipment expires December 31, 2025.
