Tell the PUC to adopt the Consumers Plan: Cheaper, cleaner power for Xcel customers

Right now, Minnesota regulators are making crucial decisions about how Xcel Energy will generate electricity over the next 15 years, how much greenhouse gases the utility will emit, and how much it will cost consumers.

Xcel can slash emissions faster than it proposes. It can avoid hundreds of millions of dollars in risky fossil fuel investments. And it can do so with a power mix that will cost consumers $1 billion less than the one it has proposed. (Click here for the full story.)

The Citizens Utility Board analyzed Xcel’s options and developed the Consumers Plan: an alternative that is better for Xcel’s customers.

Now we need your help to ask the state Public Utilities Commission to adopt the Consumers Plan, not Xcel’s more expensive, more polluting alternative.

Send an email to the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission using the form below to submit a public comment by April 12. Please note that your comment will become part of the PUC’s public record. The comment along with your name and email address will be public. Your address will not be shared.
