Hello Oakdale and surrounding communities! Opportunities are coming your way to learn about ways to save energy and money and to explore opportunities for solar power at your home or business. October is Energy Awareness Month so this is a great time of year to think and learn about energy.
Here is the schedule for Wednesday, October 10 at the Oakdale City Hall:
5:30-6:30: Free 20-minute bill consultations by the Citizens Utility Board of Minnesota. Bring your electric and gas bills and receive customized suggestions to reduce energy use and save money. CUB staff can also talk to you about renewable energy options or other energy related topics. RSVP for your 20-minute consultation here. Please contact Carmen Carruthers, CUB’s Outreach Director, at 651-300-4701 ext. 2 with any questions.
6:30-7:30: Informational presentation led by the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) to discuss group purchasing of solar for homeowners and commercial property owners in the Twin Cities. Presentation will include the basics of solar, its financial implications and available incentives, and how the Solar Twin Cities group purchasing program works. Attendees can get a free, no obligation site assessment. Contact Eric Rehm, MREA Solar Finance Manager, with any questions at email@example.com.
