LHENA Talks No. 8: Green Energy Solutions

  • 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, January 26, 2022

7:00-8:00 p.m.

This talk will be about green energy solutions. Each speaker will talk about their work in the green energy field from a consumer, policy, and energy supplier standpoint. Where are things headed in energy, sustainability, climate, and the environment? What practical steps can people in the Wedge and other local communities take to support clean energy and help advance a clean energy economy? After each speaker talks, there will be a Q&A session with the community, and all three speakers will have an opportunity to answer green energy questions from the community.

The speakers for this LHENA Talk are Julia Eagles, Virginia Rutter, and Carmen Carruthers. Julia is with the Institute for Market Transformation and formerly with Xcel Energy and will talk about her energy, sustainability, and climate work across the public, private, and nonprofit sector. Virginia is with Clean Energy Economy Minnesota and formerly with Solar United Neighbors. She will cover CEEM’s main two reports, the Minnesota State Energy Factsheet and the Clean Jobs Midwest report. Carmen is from the Citizens Utility Board and will discuss how neighbors can get help with energy bills and advocate for themselves at the state level.

We hope you will join us for this LHENA Talk with Julia, Virginia, and Carmen, Jan 26, at 7 p.m. CT. Please register and submit any questions for the speakers here and join the discussion via Zoom. You can also participate in this LHENA Talk on Facebook.
